Stranded on the Moon Part 2
Hello Readers. Today I will be posting probably the 2nd and last part of the story I started as an initiative to show you how my raw writing looks like. Make sure you subscribe up there 👆👆 up there so that you do now miss on any of my new posts. If you like it then comment below 👇👇👇 down there. So now I present to you...
Stranded on the Moon (Continued)
10 hours after the change of events one of the crew died of radioactivity. He tried to get out so he could get some extra food for the other campers. It was a brave sacrifice, but worthless. He died as soon as he exited through the airlock. His spacesuit could not handle the radiation. The heat of the radiation melted all the 11 layers of his spacesuit and even before he could run out of breath he died due to extreme damage to body cells.

On Earth my me and my workers were thinking hard on how to get the crew on moon out of the jeopardy. We had no lack of finance to send a rescue mission but we fell short on time. If we wanted to send a rescue mission it would take at least 1 month to ready a space shuttle and send it to the moon. I was really tensed when one person came up with an idea. He said we could buy a spaceship from the space agencies. There had to be some space project undergoing right now.
When we checked, we found that NASA had been working on a project. The project involved sending another satellite to monitor the surface of Saturn's moon Titan. We bought it. We bought the whole space ship, did some modification to it and sent it to moon to rescue the people. It went smoothly and we were able to get all the people out soon.
All the money that had been invested in this project was wasted, or so did I think. When I had a word with the commander in charge of the mission he told me that the money was not at all wasted. Instead there could not been a better outcome. Yes, 1 man was lost but hundreds of people could now go to moon.
He said that the moon monitoring satellite had detected the gamma ray blast an hour before it hit them. As part of the moon base they had to make a room where they grew plants. So before the GRB hit he changed the function of the atmosphere regulator in the room so that it kept the carbon dioxide and oxygen levels such that an ecosystem was formed in the room.
The base was still functional, drawing energy from the heat due to the radiation. When the radiation subsided then they could send another crew to the moon and continue what was supposed to be done.
He asked me
"So sir. Which celestial body to colonize next?"
"Mars!" I replied with my face split by a broad grin.

So Readers, that is the end of this. One spectacular announcement that I want to make is that this is the 50th post on this blog. I have done half a century on posts. Congratulations to me. Keep it up me.
