Last Wish
Hello Dear Readers. Today I am posting this beautifully written essay, by me of course, who else can write this good (I think I may be turning into a narcissist). I'm calling it the 'Last Wish' and I hope you guys and gals like it.
Last Wish
One may find himself or herself thinking differently than one usually does in times of utter hopelessness or crisis.
That is what happened with me. I am a cop and because 99% of cops catch normal
criminals, I had to be the one not doing it. I caught 'most wanted' criminals. You could say I was an agent, an agent getting the pay of a cop.
Despite of that, I was quite happy with my life, only until of course I caught the biggest drug dealer of the country. Things started going downhill after that.
One day in the station I got a call from an intelligence agency saying that the drug lord was trying to smuggle 4500 kg of illegal narcotic into the country.
I immediately sprung into action, I called with me a team of 4 undercover agents and reached the place where the deal was to take place. Without any hesitation I arrested him and put him behind the bars.
A week after this I found a stone through my window with a note saying that I should release the drug lord soon or I will have to face the dire consequences. I ignored it. 2 days later another stone and another the other day. Not only that but threat calls and messages and random people on the street staring at me maliciously.
I will use 2 words to describe my reaction towards all this - I ignored.
Then one day when I was going to the station I got rammed by a lorry from the side of my car and my vision went blurry. I could feel strong hands pulling me towards somewhere. I opened my eyes a bit and saw the but of an assault rifle descending towards my face and my vision went black.
It was then that I made my last wish - I want these people to burn in hell. I don't normally wish that...
